Women's Soccer Welcomes Brenda Vargas

Vargas will be coming to the Blue Knights from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.  Vargas in high school has been a four-time first team All-State player, four-time first team All-Conference player, All Midwest Region player and finalist for Ms. Soccer Minnesota. She is also a state finalist for 2018 Gatorade Player of The Year. Vargas also set the career assists record at Cristo Rey and finished in the top 10 in scoring for the state her senior year.  Rob Carpentier, Activities Director and Women's soccer coach at Cristo Rey said, "Brenda has showcased her outstanding skill and field vision for our program for the past four years, earning all-state honors in each season.  What set her apart, however, was and is her leadership and determination.  She took more pride in being a captain than she ever did in individual awards.  That alone describes the kind of player and person that DCTC is getting."  Mark Obarski, DCTC's Women's soccer coach, said, we are very excited to have Brenda attend DCTC and play soccer, we look forward to her outstanding ability on the soccer field and in the classroom."
