Gabrielle Heckmann is no stranger to DCTC as she earned her Associate in Applied Science in Dental Assisting in 2017. Heckmann went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Biology Pre-Medicine from the University of the Southwest in 2019, along with her Master’s degree in Biology with specialization in Genetics in 2021. 

Heckmann’s collegiate softball career started at Dakota County Technical College, where she earned First Team All Region in 2017. After her time at DCTC she transferred to the University of the Southwest, NM NAIA Division 1. She was awarded Rookie of the year in 2018, First Team All-Conference All around Athlete in 2018, First Team All-Conference 1st Base 2019. Career ERA of 1.37. 

Most recently Heckmann was head coach for the Cannon Falls Blaze. The team was awarded Best Sportsmanship 2019 and allowed be recognized at Target Field during the Minnesota Twins game. Heckmann is in her 2nd season with the Blue Knights Softball Program assisting Tom Cross Head Softball Coach. She looks forward to expanding her coaching experience and improving players on and off the field, to promote well rounded student athletes.
