The DCTC softball season opened their season with a 3-0 and 11-1 victories over Anoka Ramsey. The Blue Knights were led by a terrific pitching performance from Sophomores Courtney Heagle (Inver Grove Hts. Mn) and Amber Roby (Apple Valley, MN). Heagle threw a three hitter while striking out 14 batters in the opener. Roby threw a three hitter in the second game.

Katie Meszaros  (3B St. Paul Park, MN) had a monster day hitting going 5 for 5 with five RBI’s including a homerun. Lizzy Lehrer (C Little Chute, WI) also had a big day with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s and a two run homer!

Bella Ciccarelli (OF Inver Grove, MN), Madelyn Vargo  (OF Mayer, MN) and Heagle all had multiple hits for the day!

The next games for DCTC are Friday and Sunday March 26, 28 in the Minnesota Classic at the Rosemount Irish Dome.
