Softball fall in home series to Bay College

Blue Knights lose all four this weekend. The Softball Dugout Opening is up next on Tuesday April 30th at 4 p.m. against St. Thomas University.

Bay College 8 DCTC 5

Bay College Norse fired up the offense to win 8-5.  Megan Manor took the loss, she went seven innings, allowing eight runs on 12 hits, striking out three and walking zero. DCTC tallied eight hits on the day. Deymbre Avalos, Ayanna Iyamu, and Kalley Partyka each had multiple hits for the Blue Knights

Bay College 4 DCTC 2

DCTC stayed in it until the end, but Bay College Norse pulled away late in a 4-2 victory on Friday. The game was tied at two with Bay College Norse batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kaitlyn Hardwick singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. The Blue Knights lost despite out-hitting Bay College Norse nine to seven. DCTC opened up scoring in the first inning. Ayanna Iyamu singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Courtney Heagle took the loss, she lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three and walking zero. DCTC tallied nine hits in the game. Bailey Larkin and Deymbre Avalos all had multiple hits. Larkin led the Blue Knights with four hits in four at bats.

Bay College 12 DCTC 5

DCTC had trouble keeping up with Bay College in a 12-5 loss on Saturday. Haily Dabrowski, Kalley Partyka, Bailey Larkin, and Avalos powered the big inning with RBIs. Courtney Heagle took the loss, She lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out three. Avalos had a homer in the first inning. The Blue Knights tallied 11 hits on the day. Lexi Lasso, Avalos, and Larkin all had multiple hits. Lasso went 4-for-4 at the plate.

Bay College 3 DCTC 0

Both teams were strong in the pitcher's circle on Saturday, but Bay College was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over DCTC.  Megan Manor started the game for the Blue Knights and recorded 18 outs. Manor took the loss, she surrendered three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one. Ayanna Iyamu led DCTC with two hits in three at bats.
