Softball Sweeps Gogebic in four game series
Highlighted by a Megan Manor perfect game, a Courtney Heagle no-hitter, and 56 runs scored on the weeekend.

Courtney Heagle didn't allow a single run against Gogebic, throwing a complete game shutout and leading DCTC to a 24-0 victory on Saturday. The Blue Knights were boosted by Maggie Hardy who went 4-for-5 at the plate. Hardy singled in the second, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth. In the first inning, DCTC got their offense started when Deymbre Avalos doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. The Blue Knights tallied nine runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by singles by Kaitlyn Nash, Kalley Partyka, and Courtney Weispfennig and doubles by Hardy, Bailey Larkin, and Mackenna Johnson. Heagle earned the victory in the pitcher's circle, she allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine. DCTC tallied 25 hits on the day. Megan Manor was perfect on the mound on Saturday to lead DCTC past Gogebic 12-0. Deymbre Avalos led the Blue Knights to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-4, a home run in the first, a double in the fourth, and a single in the fifth. Manor earned the victory in the pitcher's circle, she allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero. DCTC scattered 16 hits in the game. Manor, Avalos, Larkin, Kalley Partyka, and Weispfennig each racked up multiple hits. Manor went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead DCTC.

Courtney Heagle was brilliant on the rubber on Sunday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead the Blue Knights past Gogebic 8-0. Heagle earned the victory in the pitcher's circle going five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking one. The Blue Knights saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Kalley Partyka and Lexi Lasso all had multiple hits for DCTC

Bailey Larkin was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in four on three hits to lead DCTC past Gogebic 12-3 on Sunday. Megan Manor was credited with the victory going four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking zero. Larkin went 3-for-3 at the plate
