Softball has a four game home series versus North Dakota State College of Science on April 6th and 7th. Game times are 1:00pm and 3:00pm both days

 

Here are recaps of Blue Knights first eleven games

Grand Canyon University Club 11 DCTC 4

It was a tough day on Monday for DCTC, who lost 11-4 to Grand Canyon University Club Softball. Courtney Heagle took the loss for the Blue Knights. She allowed nine hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. DCTC tallied nine hits. Bailey Larkin and Kalley Partyka each managed multiple hits for the Blue Knights.

Grand Canyon University Club 6 DCTC 4

The Blue Knight's effort to come back from down six runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 6-4 to Grand Canyon University Club Softball on Monday. The Blue Knights managed four runs in the failed comeback. Bailey Larkin, Maggie Hardy, and Kalley Partyka picked up RBIs to lead the rally. DCTC scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Partyka and an error on a ball put in play by Hardy. Megan Manor took the loss, shee surrendered six runs on 11 hits over six innings, striking out two and walking zero. DCTC racked up ten hits on the day. Lexi Lasso and Avery Newton all collected multiple hits for the Blue Knights

Arizona Christian JV 10 DCTC 0

DCTC fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to Arizona Christian on Tuesday. Arizona Christian took the lead on a double in the first inning. A single by Courtney Weispfennig in the fourth inning was a positive for the Blue Knights. Megan Manor took the loss for DCTC, she allowed 11 hits and ten runs over four innings, striking out three.

 

Arizona Christian JV 18 DCTC 3

The Blue Knights Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 18-3 loss to Arizona Christian on Tuesday.

Ayanna Iyamu went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead DCTC in hits.

South Mountain CC 12 DCTC 2

Dakota County Technical College Blue Knights Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-2 loss to South Mountain on Wednesday. The Blue Knights had seven hits in the game. Kaitlyn Nash and Courtney Weispfennig each collected multiple hits for DCTC

 

South Mountain CC 9 DCTC 6

It came down to the last play, but the Blue Knights were on the wrong end of a 9-6 defeat to South Mountain on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with South Mountain batting in the bottom of the ninth when #12 homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs. DCTC collected 13 hits and South Mountain had 14 in the high-scoring affair. Courtney Heagle took the loss for the Blue Knights. She allowed 14 hits and nine runs over eight and a third innings, striking out five. DCTC launched one home run on the day. Deymbre Avalos had a long ball in the fifth inning. The Blue Knights collected 13 hits on the day. Avalos, Iyamu, and Haily Dabrowski all had multiple hits.

Dawson CC 8 DCTC 0

The Blue Knights fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-0 loss to Dawson Community College on Thursday. Megan Manor took the loss, she surrendered eight runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one. DCTC scattered seven hits in the game. Larkin and Deymbre Avalos each collected multiple hits for the Blue Knights.

Dawson CC 8 DCTC 2

The Blue Knights had a tough time generating runs on Thursday, dropping their game with Dawson Community College 8-2. Courtney Heagle took the loss lasting seven innings, allowing 14 hits and eight runs while striking out seven. Weispfennig, Avery Newton, and Bailey Larkin all had one hit to lead DCTC

DCTC 12 Gogebic CC 4

Deymbre Avalos would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Saturday, driving in six on three hits to lead DCTC past Gogebic CC 12-4 on Saturday. Avalos drove in runs on a home run in the first, a single in the second, and a home run in the third. DCTC fired up the offense in the first inning. Avalos drove in two when she homered. DCTC put up six runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Mia Haugen, a home run by Avalos, by Kalley Partyka, and a fielder's choice by Haily Dabrowski. Courtney Heagle was credited with the victory by going five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking one. DCTC socked two home run on the day. Avalos went deep in the first and third innings. The Blue Knights  racked up 14 hits. Avalos, Ayanna Iyamu, Lexi Lasso, Courtney Weispfennig, and Haugen all managed multiple hits for DCTC

Bethel JV 14 DCTC 5

DCTC had a tough time generating runs on Wednesday, dropping their game with Bethel University JV 14-5. Deymbre Avalos went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead DCTC, adding a homer in the fifth.

Bethel JV 7 DCTC 0

The Blue Knights fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-0 loss to Bethel University JV on Wednesday.  Partyka went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead DCTC in hits.
