Four game series at DCTC to tilt race for championship chase.

Rosemount Minn. - The last two champions from the NJCAA softball region will be facing each other this weekend to gain advantage in a race to win the 2015 championship. Defending champion Williston State College travel to DCTC this weekend to play the Blue Knights.  DCTC won the 2013 championship and finished runner up last season to the Tetons of Williston.

While DCTC (8-0 in league) will be looking to take three or four games from WSC (6-2 in league), a split will keep the Blue Knights in first place as they currently hold a two game lead on both the Tetons and Dawson Community College of Montana.  DCTC travels to Montana next week to wrap up the 16 game league.  The winner of the league will be crowned champion and host a district playoff series on May 1st and 2nd to advance to NJCAA National Softball Tournament.

Game times are 1pm and 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday with games being played at UMore Park located south of the DCTC campus.  DCTC's Ellie Schneider (Freshman New Ulm) and Trena Larson (Sophomore Prior Lake) comment on this upcoming weekend (Video);
