DCTC Men's soccer Opens Season 3-2

The Dakota County Technical College Men's soccer team has started their season 3-2-0. The team started their season at home with Lake Superior from Duluth, Minnesota. The Blue Knights fell behind quickly in the 5th minute with giving up a penalty kick. Both teams played well and had several scoring chances. Lake Superior added a second goal on a wonderful shot from the top of the box. Seakou Swaray, a freshman scored with 20 minutes left in the game, but DCTC was unable to find an equalizing goal. The Men then traveled to Crown College in St. Bonifaciuos, Minnesota where they took on the NCAA Division 3 team. The Blue Knights played well for the entire game and came away with a 3-0 victory. The Men once again went on the road to Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.  While the Blue Knights played well, they started a little slow and were unable to find the tying goal and lost 2-1.  Back at home; the Men's team beat St. Olaf 5-1. The Blue Knights opened their conference play at home with 6-0 victory over Scott County from Iowa. A year ago, the Blue Knights did not win a conference game, but changed that trend early in the season this year.
