The Blue Knights advanced to the District 7 Championship by defeating United Tribes last Sunday in a tightly contested game.

For the third time this season the Blue Knights were matched up against Tribes. Lorenzo Smith led the way with 29 points and 7 rebounds, Harlyn Owens contributed 19 points and Piontek Young stepped up big with 12 points and 9 rebound. Lorenzo was the region tournament MVP with Harlyn earning a spot on the all-region team.

Dakota County will play in the District 7 Championship game on Saturday, March 7th at Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska.  The Blue Knights will be seeking a 5th straight appearance in the National Tournament.
