DCTC Sweeps Itasca and Splits with Iowa Lakes. Trent Fredenburg lead the offense by batting .643, with 5 2B, 8 RBI and 4 SB. Alex Winslow, Spencer Kopp, Conor Merton, Dalton Hoffman, and John McCaustlin all picked up wins on the mound for the Blue Knights.

Blue Knights had all cylinders firing on offense on Sunday afternooon, winning big over Itasca CC 11-1. Blue Knights put up three runs in the sixth inning. Henry Laue and Ian Walker all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Alex Winslow took the win, He surrendered one unearned run on four hits over six innings, striking out 11 and walking zero. The Blue Knights tallied 13 hits in the game. Parker Savard, Carter Wendlandt, Laue, Walker, and Trent Fredenburg all collected multiple hits for theBlue Knights. Savard led DCTC with three hits in three at bats.

Blue Knights weathered a scare by Itasca CC in the fifth inning where Blue Knights coughed up three runs, but the Blue Knights still won 13-3 on Sunday. The Blue Knights secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the third inning. Gus Newman, Clayton Harris, Parker Savard, Brad Goulet, Trent Fredenburg, and Henry Laue powered the big inning with RBI. In the first inning, Blue Knights got their offense started when Fredenburg's sac fly scored one run for the Blue Knights. The Blue Knights put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Savard, Fredenburg, and Laue, a triple by Goulet, and a single by Harris. Spencer Kopp earned the win, he allowed seven hits and three runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. The Blue Knights collected ten hits. Goulet, Laue, and Harris all managed multiple hits for DCTC.

Blue Knights easily did away with Itasca CC 11-1 on Monday. Conor Merton got the win for the Blue Knights, He went six innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out four and walking one. Brad Goulet went for the long ball in the fifth inning. Blue Knights collected 13 hits on the day. Trent Fredenburg, Ian Walker, Carter Wendlandt, and Clayton Harris all collected multiple hits for DCTC. Walker and Fredenburg had three hits.

Dalton Hoffman had all the right stuff on Monday for Blue Knights, allowing zero runs and besting Itasca CC by a score of 11-0. The Blue Knights secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. Garrett Hoffman, Mike Vohnoutka, Parker Savard, and Brad Goulet all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Hoffman surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Blue Knights tallied ten hits in the game. Joe Garcia, Hoffman, Goulet, and Caleb Ditmarson each racked up multiple hits.

Iowa Lakes CC 1

Blue Knights lost the lead late in an 18-6 defeat to Iowa Lakes CC on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with Iowa Lakes CC batting in the top of the fourth when Pronay singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Despite the loss, DCTC did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Iowa Lakes CC had 16 hits on the way to victory. Caleb Ditmarson took the loss for the Blue Knights. DCTC collected eight hits on the day. Parker Savard, Carter Wendlandt, and Clayton Harris each managed multiple hits for Blue Knights.

DCTC 4 Iowa Lakes CC 1

Blue Knights defeated Iowa Lakes CC 4-1 in Game 2 on Tuesday. John McCaustlin pitched Blue Knights to victory. He went six innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out eight. Jack Stoddard threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Stoddard recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Blue Knights. Trent Fredenburg, Clayton Harris, Joe Garcia, Carter Wendlandt, Wyatt Lampel, and Brad Goulet each collected hits to lead DCTC Blue Knights stole five bases during the game. Lampel led the way with two.
