DCTC 6 Augsburg JV 5

The Blue Knights ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Augsburg JV on Thursday. The Blue Knights were down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Brad Goulet singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Blue Knights earned the victory despite allowing Augsburg JV to score five runs in the fifth inning. Augsburg JV's big inning was driven by walks by Thomly and Gray, singles by Tyler and Baumgart, and a sac fly by Smreker. DCTC fired up the offense in the first inning, when Goulet singled scoring one run. Ethan Cernohous was the winning pitcher for the Blue Knights. He allowed three hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Conor Merton and Spencer Kopp entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Kopp recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Blue Knights. Jake Wensmann started the game for Blue Knights. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out one. The Blue Knights scattered 11 hits in the game. Goulet and Henry Laue all collected multiple hits for the Blue Knights. Goulet led DCTC with three hits in four at bats.

DCTC 7 Bethel JV 0

Blue Knights defeated Bethel JV 7-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jack Stoddard struck out Haala to finish off the game. Blue Knights secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning. Wyatt Lampel, Shane Brown, Parker Savard, and Brad Goulet all moved runners across the plate with RBI in the inning.  Alex Winslow was the winning pitcher for DCTC. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out 12. Stoddard threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Savard led Blue Knights with two hits.

DCTC 15 Bethel JV 5

Blue Knights weathered a push by Bethel JV in the fifth inning where Blue Knights coughed up three runs, but Blue Knights still won 15-5 on Friday. The Blue Knights pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. Tanner Berwald got the win for Blue Knights. He surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out one. Caleb Ditmarson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Blue Knights collected 13 hits on the day. Clayton Harris, Newman, and Savard all had multiple hits for the Blue Knights. Newman and Harris each managed three hits to lead DCTC.
