Laue went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Blue Knights in hits.

DCTC lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Iowa Western CC on Saturday. Iowa Western CC trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning when S Parker doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. In the top of the third inning, the Blue Knights tied things up at two when J Simpson induced Trent Fredenburg to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Mall was the winning pitcher for Iowa Western CC. He allowed one hit and one run over two and a third innings, striking out six. T Kimmel threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kimmel recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Iowa Western CC. John McCaustlin took the loss for DCTC. He allowed three hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Fredenburg and Caleb Ditmarson each collected one hit to lead Blue Knights.
