Baseball Continues to play a .500 on the road

 

Rainy River 2 DCTC 1

·  The Blue Knights watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-1 loss to Rainy River CC on Saturday. Rainy River CC took the lead on a groundout in the first inning.

·  The pitching was strong on both sides. Rainy River CC pitchers struck out four, while The Blue Knights sat down ten.

·  Justin King took the loss for The Blue Knights. He surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out ten.

·  Ian Walker led The Blue Knights with three hits in three at bats.

DCTC 7 Rainy River 1

·  Four hits from Brad Goulet paved the way to victory for The Blue Knights over Rainy River CC 7-1 on Saturday. Goulet singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and tripled in the sixth.

·  An early lead helped propel The Blue Knights to victory. The Blue Knights scored on a sacrifice fly by Nolan Baier in the first inning and a error in the second inning.

·  The Blue Knights pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for The Blue Knights.

·  The Blue Knights tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Jeison Morillo, Goulet, and Baier powered the big inning with RBIs.

·  Dalton Hoffman led the The Blue Knights to victory on the pitcher's mound. He surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Tanner Berwald threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

·  Goulet went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead The Blue Knights in hits.

DCTC 6 MN State 5

·  The Blue Knights walked off with the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over MN State CTC on Wednesday. Dylan Bergstad earn a pinch hit walk then stole a base to get into scoring position. A two out single from Caleb Zoda tied up the game. Ian Walker singled and allowed Zoda to advance to third a wild pitch allowed Zoda to score to win.

·  The Blue Knights tallied three runs in the sixth inning. The Blue Knights offense in the inning was led by Caleb Zoda and Blaze Hogie, all driving in runs in the frame.

·  Farley was the winning pitcher for The Blue Knights. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and zero

Alex Winslow started the game for The Blue Knights. He surrendered five runs on four hits over six innings, striking out 14.

·  The Blue Knights fired up the offense in the first inning. Brad Goulet homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

·  Jake Wensmann earned the win for The Blue Knights. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out nine. Anttila threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

·  The Blue Knights racked up ten hits on the day. Clayton Harris, Goulet, Blaze Hogie, and Nolan Baier each racked up multiple hits for The Blue Knights. Harris led The Blue Knights with three hits in three at bats. The Blue Knights was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cody Gruenhagen made the most plays with ten.

·  Both teams were strong on the mound Friday, but The Blue Knights defeated Itasca CC 3-1. Alex Farley allowed just five hits to Itasca CC.

·  Farley pitched The Blue Knights to victory. He allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out eight.

·  Nolan Baier went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead The Blue Knights in hits. The Blue Knights was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Blaze Hogie made the most plays with eight.

Itasca CC 3 DCTC 1

·  The Blue Knights Drops Game to Itasca CC After Late Score

·  Friday's game against Itasca CC was a heartbreaker for The Blue Knights, as they lost the lead late in a 3-1 defeat. The game was tied at one with Itasca CC batting in the top of the seventh when Azor tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

·  The pitching was strong on both sides. Itasca CC pitchers struck out four, while The Blue Knights sat down seven.

·  The Blue Knights knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the fifth inning. Ian Walker's sac fly scored one run for The Blue Knights.

·  Tanner Berwald took the loss for The Blue Knights. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out one.

·  The Blue Knights watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-1 loss to Iowa Western Community College Reivers Varsity on Wednesday.

·  Jake Wensmann took the loss for The Blue Knights. He went six innings, allowing five runs on ten hits, striking out three and walking zero.

·  Travis Schmidt, Trent Fredenburg, and Nolan Baier each collected one hit to lead The Blue Knights.

DCTC 12 Iowa Western CC JV 3

·  The Blue Knights cruised to an easy victory over Iowa Western JV 12-3 on Thursday

·  The Blue Knights got things moving in the first inning. Travis Schmidt drew a walk, scoring one run.

·  The Blue Knights tallied three runs in the seventh inning. The Blue Knights big bats were led by Marcus Biasatti and Ian Walker, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
