Baseball Squad Takes Four On The Road

Second Sweep Keeps Knights On Top

Mandan, ND - The Blue Knights baseball squad spent their second weekend of league play in  North Dakota, playing four games against Bismarck State College. The Blue Knights finished this weekend just like they did last weekend, with a four game sweep taking all games from the host Mystics.

"We are really swinging the bat well, not much more I can ask of our hitters. We hit the ball hard all weekend, including six home runs." Said Coach Trent Seaman. "Nick Lacina (Sophomore St. Paul) may be the hottest hitter in the country right now". Lacina went nine for 14 on the weekend and had nine runs batted in (RBI's).

DCTC is now 11-11 on the season and 8-0 in the region league with 12 region games remaining, 18 overall.  DCTC is vying for the number one seed in the Regional tournament which they host the May 8-11th. The Blue Knights next eight games will be at home, starting this Tuesday, with a double header vs St Cloud Tech (non league) at 3 and 5 pm. DCTC hosts Williston State College in region XIII league play this Saturday and Sunday in a pair of doubleheaders.
