The DCTC Blue Knights volleyball team came out with a win on Wednesday night against the visiting Crown College Polars JV team. It was a thrilling match with many extended rallies.
The DCTC Blue Knights volleyball team came out with a win on Wednesday night against the visiting Crown College Polars JV team. It was a thrilling match with many extended rallies.
From the start, the Blue Knights established the tempo on both offense and defense but the Polars hustled to challenge DCTC. In the end, it was a 3-0 win for the Blue Knights.
Head Coach Olmanson praised the effort of his players, saying, "Our team really fought hard tonight. We've been focusing on the importance of first ball side outs and sustaining an aggressive attack. That showed on the court tonight. The way we executed in key moments is a big step forward for us."
Stat leaders on offense were Addy Snyder - 16 kills & 7 digs | Trish Crow – 7 kills | Nyesha Martin – 6 kills | Helen McDowell – 33 assists & 8 digs | Tamara Behl – 11 digs & 5 assists.
With this victory, the Blue Knights' record improves to 8-10. DCTC volleyball returns to the court for their next matchups this Saturday 10/5 in Virginia, MN. With two matches scheduled, the Blue Knights are focused to get to a 10-10 record.
