DCTC is excited to announce the return of former player, Faisal Bah, as Assistant Coach for both the Men's & Women's Soccer Teams.
When asked about the addition of Bah, Dakota County Technical College Head Soccer Coach Hawken Hanna said, "Being new to the area, Faisal reached out immediately to give his support and assistance in connected me with alumni and the youth soccer community and has already proven to be an excellent partner. I am extremely excited to have someone around who knows youth soccer in the area and is passionate about connecting them with opportunities at the college level. I also love that he was a part of DCTC Soccer when it was at it's peak so he knows what it looks like for us to be on top and will bring the confidence and experience to help us get there."
Bah is a dedicated and motivated soccer coach with a profound passion for player development, team success, and creating a positive sports environment. He currently is a Head Coach at Burnsville United (BVU) where he fosters a competitive yet supportive atmosphere, where players are challenged and encouraged to reach their full potential.
He has shown a long-standing commitment to youth soccer in the area through participation as a Board Member at Baraya Football Club, where he handles recruitment, organizing volunteers, and coordinates meetings to strategize for the upcoming season. Also, he had a recent tenure as the Head Coach at Twin City Football Club. Bah also has previous experience as an Assistant Soccer Coach at Maplebrook Soccer Association where he was involved in assisting with player instruction, organizing practice sessions, and contributing to game strategy while maintaining equipment and ensuring a positive environment for players.
Bah also has a strong background as a student-athlete which includes playing soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Dakota County Technical College. On the field, he was an All-Conference Honorable Mention and Offensive Player of the Week, and a member of a nationally-ranked DCTC team from 2009-2011.
