Tough Start for Women's Soccer

The Dakota County Technical College Women's Soccer team has had a difficult start to the season beginning the year 0-4-0.  The opening game versus Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) was a frustrating game for the Blue Knights which saw them creating a number of chances to score.  Rochester took advantage of early defensive mistakes and won the game 3-0 despite being outshot during the game.

DCTC traveled to Anoka-Ramsey Community College and fell 7-1 against the Rams in their second game of the season.

Over Labor Day weekend, the team traveled to Gillette, Wyoming, where they met two excellent teams.  On Saturday, the Blue Knights lost 10-1 to Gillette and on Sunday lost 12-0 to #19 ranked nationally, Western Nebraska.  Despite the scores, Freshman GK, Ashlyn Nystuen, played outstanding in both games for DCTC.
