Blue Knights Volleyball Finish 2019 Season 16-8

Blue Knights Volleyball Finish 2019 Season 16-8

The Blue Knights volleyball team ended their 2019 season last weekend with a 16-8 record at Bismarck State College with a loss to NDSCS in the Region XIII semi-finals. The Knights battled the entire match, but NDSCS was better (21-25, 20-25, 20-25).

"Sophomores Anika Weber, Mackenna Johnson, Jada Aljubailah, and Abigail Shaffer were instrumental in the team's success and have helped shape the volleyball program into what it is today. Their leadership and work will not be forgotten and they will continue to be successful in their volleyball careers and in whatever they choose to do. It was an honor to coach them and they will be greatly missed next season," said head coach Jen Bowman.

Three of the Knights sophomores were also ranked in the top 20 for NJCAA Div II statistics. Anika Weber ended the season ranked #3 in NJCAA Div II for assists/set, Abigail Shaffer was ranked #7 in digs/set, and Mackenna Johnson was ranked #15 for kills/set!

The Knights also had great contributions from the freshmen athletes and will depend on them to continue to build on this season's successes and take the program to the next level next season.

Thank you Blue Knights for a great season!
