Gabby Heckmann, a sophomore first baseman/pitcher and Lexie Kennedy, a sophomore infielder  have been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division 2 First Team All-Region softball team. 

Gabby is originally from Cannon Falls, MN (Cannon Falls High School). Her parents are Dawn and Bob Heckmann. In addition to softball, Gabby has been an honor student at DCTC and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Gabby has completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Assisting, and is currently in the Individualized Studies program. Gabby is considering all options in pursuing a bachelor's degree.                   

Lexie is originally from Goodhue, MN (Goodhue High School). Her parents are Heidi and Craig Kennedy. In addition to softball, Lexie is an honor student and has been named to the President's list. Her future plans include attending Minnesota State University Moorhead this fall where she will major in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sports Communication. She also plans to continue playing softball for the Dragons.
