Blue Knights Slow Cyclones Then Rally to Win 11-8

Midweek win important for DCTC.

Rosemount, Minn. – Down seven runs early in a game against St. Cloud Technical and Community, the Blue Knights of Dakota County Technical College rallied for 11 runs to win 11-8 in a nine inning contest played Wednesday at DCTC's Ames Field.

DCTC's Right fielder David Robbins (Freshman Edina) led the way going three for five from the plate with two runs batted in (RBI's) and two runs scored at the plate. Nick Bentley (Freshman Woodbury) (W, 1-3) earned his first win while pitching the last two innings and keeping the Cyclones off the scoreboard.

The non-conference slate was an important test for DCTC before a critical four game home series against regional rival Williston State College. DCTC is currently 8-0 in the 20 game league. With the win, DCTC raises its record above the 500 level for the first time this season. DCTC is the two time defending region champion and will host the 2015 NJCAA Regional tournament May 8-10th at Ames Field.
